OBYE was founded in 1962 by active and insightful plumbers in order to set some rules in the profession and to have secure installations. The Department of Industrial Engineering was launched on January 1, 2013 and was born mainly from the confluence of professors and researchers belonging to the extinct departments of: Energetics, Applied Thermofluid Dynamics and Environmental Conditioning (DETEC), Aerospace Engineering (DIAS), Economic Engineering – Management (DIEG), Naval Engineering (DIN), Mechanical and Energy Engineering (DiME).

ASSISTAL is the business association of manufacturers of energy efficiency service facilities, founded in 1946 and a member of Confindustria, which represents companies specialized in the design, supply, installation, management and maintenance of technological systems, supply of Energy Efficiency Services (ESCo) and Facilities Management.

In addition, the association promotes professional collaboration, information exchange and cultural development among its members, as well as collaboration between companies in the sector, namely through support for the establishment of consortia and business networks, and supports and promotes training and technological update activities and projects in order to increase the qualification of associated companies.
