A WATTer Skills dedicated meeting took place during CERSAIE, International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings, in Bologna, Italy, on the 26th and 27th September of 2018.
The event had the participation of ADENE, FLC, CRES and FORMEDIL, and included presentations of the WATTer Skills main goals and results.
ADENE showed the possible savings in terms of water and energy in buildings, possible due to the implementation of various solutions and presented the WATTer Skills project, offering a general overview and qualifications framework for new expertise and jobs on water efficiency in buildings.
FLC showed the skills map and the indicators related to the new figures that will be created with the project: Water Efficiency Technician and Water Efficiency Expert. This was followed by the CRES presentation, which illustrated the path that will be undertaken in 2019 to start the pilot training courses, from the choice of the participants to the expected results.
The project presentations finished with FORMEDIL offering an overview of the market for the systems installation in buildings in Italy, for the period 2018-2021.
After this, there was a round table with industry experts from the European Bathroom Forum and representatives of the Italian Advisory Group on the WATTer Skills to debate European trends on water efficiency.
The possible advantages coming from the use of a single label in Europe in the bathroom fixture sector were discussed and it was shown how sustainability has become the focal point of the ceramics sector, how this has changed products and production in the sector and what results have been achieved.
The InfoDay finished with the presentation of the European project Co.Tutor final results.
